El paso del mito al logos responde a un movimiento de pensamiento, o de cierta cosmovisión en la antigua Grecia. Hace más de dos mil años, en tiempos de Homero y Hesíodo, la explicación del mundo y sus cosas estaba estrechamente relacionada con la mitología de la época. Por ejemplo, la lluvia era causada por Zeus, los terremotos y las fuertes mareas, eran causadas por Poseidón y así, casi todo tenía una explicación mitológica.

Pero no siempre fue así, en determinado momento de la historia hubo personajes que de algún modo fueron pensando los problemas del mundo, desde un punto de vista diferente, abriendo paso al pensamiento racional, claramente el paso que hubo del pensamiento mítico al pensamiento racional no fue un cambio abrupto, sino que fue poco a poco. Y de hecho, los primeros “filósofos” recurren a muchos elementos rapsódicos para explicar el cosmos.

Así que en resumen, el paso del mito al logos fue el deambular entre dos modos de pensar, de concebir al mundo. Y aunque de algún modo, ambos modos de pensar desde Platón parecieron ser antagónicos, no fue sino hasta mediados del siglo pasado cuando gracias a una filosofa española llamada Maria Zambrano, discurre un método filosófico que combina, la poesía, con la razón, el mito con el logos.

The passage from myth to logos responds to a movement of thought, or of a certain worldview in ancient Greece. More than two thousand years ago, in the time of Homer and Hesiod, the explanation of the world and its things was closely related to the mythology of the time. For example, rain was caused by Zeus, earthquakes and strong tides were caused by Poseidon and so on, almost everything had a mythological explanation.

But it was not always like that, at a certain moment in history there were characters that somehow were thinking the problems of the world, from a different point of view, opening the way to rational thinking, clearly the step from mythical thinking to rational thinking was not an abrupt change, but it was little by little. And in fact, the first "philosophers" resort to many rhapsodic elements to explain the cosmos.

So in short, the passage from myth to logos was the wandering between two ways of thinking, of conceiving the world. And although in a way, both ways of thinking since Plato seemed to be antagonistic, it was not until the middle of the last century when, thanks to a Spanish philosopher named Maria Zambrano, a philosophical method that combines poetry with reason, myth with logos, came into being.
