Among all front-end tools to access Hive, the one I personally use a little, but is the first to introduce to newcomers is @good-karma's @ecency as it is among the easiests to use. The problem is that Ecency has not the most inviting default configuration to introduce people to Hive.

I wish Ecency could have a default configuration based on the browser's HTTP headers instead of a default English+USD/HBD for every first access user. Ecency is already translated to several languages other than English and has several currency display options other than USD/HBD.

I mean, the Ecency server could take browser's first access to the site and use the Accept-Language header to show a default configuration based on that, with a fallback to English+USD/HBD for configurations not available.

Another alternative could be to allow users to create a personalized URL with configurations for first access to be set for the browser, like this example:

Where on first accessing Ecency it would redirect to the default domain without those GET parameters but setting local storage or cookies to keep said configurations until the user changes it, with invalid configurations just falling back to the default ones.

I have no idea is some mechanism such as those already exists or not, but is a suggestion I would like for developers to consider.
