Proceso Creativo // Creative Process

Una mañana mi consciencia le dijo a mi subconsciente:

• ¿cual es la forma mas rápida y eficiente para mejorar dibujando con lápices de carbon?

One morning my consciousness said to my subconscious:

-What is the fastest and most efficient way to improve drawing with charcoal pencils?

Y mi subconsciente parada de manos, le respondió:

~ Androow Loomis decia que en un rostro, queramos o no, nos enfrentaremos a todos los problemas que implican dibujar. Entre ellos: Luz, sombra, perspectiva, anatomía, expresión y composición.

And my subconscious, standing on its hands, replied:

~Andrew Loomis said that in a face, whether we like it or not, we will face all the problems involved in drawing. Among them: light, shadow, perspective, anatomy, expression, and composition.

Y mi consciencia, sin meditar en porque mi subconsciente estaba patas para arriba, dijo:

• Rayos, es verdad. Lo dijo el maestro de maestros.

And my consciousness, without meditating on why my subconscious was upside down, said:

Damn, it's true. The master of masters said it.

Así que ya decidido que hacer, agarre una hoja y mi lápiz, y empeze a dibujar.

So, already decided what to do, I grabbed a sheet of paper and my pencil, and started drawing.

Paso a paso // Step by step

Paso #1

Para iniciar SIEMPRE empiezo por dejar plasmado en el papel donde quiero que este cada cosa. La cabeza, represantada en su forma mas simple: el cubo (según yo). Y dentro de dicho cubo 'Puedo esculpir', por así decirlo, el cráneo para mas adelante empezar todo lo demás.

Step #1 The Sketch

To start, I always start by leaving on the paper where I want each thing to be. The head, represented in its simplest form: the cube (according to me). And within said cube, I can "sculpt", so to speak, the skull to start working on everything else later.

Paso #2 Darle Forma

Aqui le puse ojos, boca, orejas y todas las partes que se necesitan para hacer un rostro. Tambien le puse lentes. En este punto lo dibuje con el menton levantado y mirando hacia enfrente, en señal de orgullo, también lo dibuje sin una camisa para plasmar que es un 'sin vergüenza"

Step #2 Give it Shape

Here I put eyes, mouth, ears, and all the parts that are needed to make a face. I also put on glasses. At this point I drew him with his chin up and looking forward, as a sign of pride, also drawing him without a shirt to show that he is a "shameless".

Paso #3

Me imagino que se estaran diciendo:

-Pero en el resultado final no tiene cabello, lentes ni cejas.

Pues, decidí cambiarlo, no era lo mas apropiado. Pues no tenía claro como manejarlos sin que terminaran en un desorden. Entre menos colores haya en lo querien dibujar mas sencillo sera plasmarlo en blanco y negro sin necesidad de utilizar lineas.

Step #3

I imagine you are saying to yourself:

But in the final result it does not have hair, glasses or eyebrows.

Well, I decided to change it, it was not the most appropriate. Because I was not clear how to handle them without them ending up in a mess. The fewer colors there are in what you want to draw, the easier it will be to capture it in black and white without the need for lines.
