✅ 4 Tips for a Starting Musician
"Enjoy during the process and have clear goals"
Retrospective and conclusions: self-taught learning of musical instruments
✨ Presentation
Hello, my name is Juan Pablo, (A.k.a fauno), and this is my first post in the community.
I am passionate about playing music with the electric bass, and my goal is to improve every day.
I share some photos and new reflections in order to encourage you to start or continue learning to play musical instruments and sing.
✨ The companion that we cannot miss every day
The morning is magical because it offers infinite doors to create destinations. Some naps become epic and eternal in the presence of echoing synths and blue skies. I choose the perfumes of my patio, the taste of a mate and some vibrating strings.
Today, I once again have the beautiful possibility of seeing fruits in my garden and touching my fertile soil. I want to make music and sometimes I don't know where to start...
Maybe because I remember that at first, changing chords didn't work out very well for me. I didn't know what a chord was...
Today, which is #tbt Thursday, I am sharing some photos of my former self, fighting with the guitar, in search of its sound.

🍀 4 Tips to Improve
If I could go back in time and advise myself in my beginnings. In order not to overload myself with so much information, this is what I would say:
🎼 1 Practice every day
There is not much to add. Showing up every day for at least 15 minutes makes a huge difference in progress. Every day you learn something new and the acquired skills are reinforced.
🎼 2 Full Consciousness
Listen to every little sound we make when touching or releasing the string. Each note can sound in different ways depending on the contact with the fingertips.
🎼 3 Play live
Not much is achieved in the comfort of the room or rehearsal room. You have to expose yourself to the ears and eyes of people, and obtain a direct return of the most enriching experience for a musician.
🎼 4 Record yourself
There is no excuse not to at least take some voice notes (or better yet video) and then detect details that go unnoticed when interpreting.
In addition to having fun along the way, what other advice could be added?
🥁 🥁 🥁
The process of learning a new skill is full of challenges, and also many rewards.
Under so much pressure, sometimes I need a way to channel internal sensations. The vibrations of the music calm my mind and make me happy. May all beings find an authentic way to express all their creativity.
🥁 🥁 🥁
❤️ Thank you for coming this far ❤️
❤️ I wish you a wonderful week ❤️
💚 LOVE 💛
