Wednesday, Suri

Hello to my regular friends, today I want to talk about one of the customs and traditions in Iran.
It's Ash Wednesday and jumping over fire.
On the night of the last Wednesday of the year, all people jump over the fire to have their problems, in other words, their pain and misfortunes, taken away from them.

And at the same time as we jump over the fire, we say: May the yellow on my face be yours, may the red on your face be mine. That is, we say to the fire, may the yellowness and my problems be yours, and may the redness be your good mood.

On the night of Chaharshanbe Suri, in addition to jumping over the fire, we try to celebrate this night with all kinds of crackers and permitted fireworks.

As usual, we went to one of the upper parts of the city and tried to celebrate this day with fireworks and joy.

Charshanbeh Suri is one of the ancient and popular Iranian festivals that is held on the last Wednesday of the year to welcome Nowruz. This festival symbolizes the end of winter and the beginning of spring and is associated with fire and light. Let's talk more about this beautiful festival.

History

Charshanbeh Suri dates back to ancient times and its roots are related to Zoroastrian celebrations and Nowruz rituals. On this day, people seek to cleanse their souls and bodies by lighting a fire and jumping over it, in a way welcoming the New Year.

This tradition is very old in Iran and we perform this tradition every year. I hope you liked my post. Thank you for your support.
