Conversation Between My 8year Old Nephew And I.

You know how you get surprise on things kids of this generation say and you be like, "I never said those words to grown up while I was growing" I have an eight year old nephew who came to stay with with me. I was so glad to have him over because I love the fact that he would be calling me uncle. My mom was around at my place and my big sis was traveling so he had to drop him off with me since his dad was on a business trip too.

This is a boy I know all his growing up stage because I love him but his recent visit made it look like I was talking to one of my uncle.

On this day, ,my mom went to the market to get some food stuff and asked us to prepare anything to eat. I wanted to act like the big uncle that has it all so I asked Dave

Me: Dave, what would you like to eat this morning

Dave: Food!

Me: Yeah, I know. What kind food would you like?

Dave: ........ (Refuses to answer because he was watching cartoon Network channel)

I left him, went into the kitchen and prepare noodles for both of us. Normally, I love added onion in my noodles. I brought Dave his noodle. He looked down at and said

Dave: Whats this?

Me: Food!

Dave: But I cant eat noodles with onion in it.

Me: You got to start learning how to eat all food. It will keep you strong

Dave: What if I eat the noodles and die

it was then I became shocked and scared at the same time. Is he allergic to onion or something? Non of us have any allergy so what is he talking about

Me: Dave, eat it. Nothing will happen to you.

Dave: But I want bread and egg.

I immediately reminisce to those days of me trying to select food I would eat after one has been prepare then my mom goes on a rampage because I wont eat. She be the living hell out of me and then I would eat. I was thinking of threatening Dave into eating the food so I went like this.

Me: If you don't eat that noodles now, I will be the hell out of you. Now be a good boy and eat cause I don't have time out this morning. (I frowned my face at him so he will take me serious)

Dave: Why are you shouting at me. You know you cant force me to eat right and I already to you what I want. I thought my mom said you are rich and would give me all I want. So I want bread and egg. Also if you grandma comes back, I will tell her you brought a girl home when she wasn't around

whaoo. which of my forefathers am I talking to right now. This wasn't the cute little Dave I knew back then who always run towards me to carry him up.

Me: Do you even know what you are saying. Ruth is my friend and she only came the time grandma is not around because its her free time.

My mom doesnt like it when a lady comes visiting when shes not home. If she finds out then I would be getting another sermon on fornication.

Dave: So Ruth is her name right. Hmm. I think grandma will like Ruth

Me: It was bread and egg you want right. I will make it for you so just watch your cartoon. (Immediately, my mom walked in)

Mom: Have you given him (dave) food.

Me: I was just about to make bread and egg for him

Mom: I cant even leave a kid with you. You will just starve him to death.

Dave: Grandma, One aunt Ruth came to greet us when you were not home.
