Feeling under the weather? A bowl of hot Chicken Soup does it for me, maybe sprinkled with bacon bits. What food makes you feel better when you are feeling sick?

Hi everyone! At it's winter, so soup of any type can work better for us, specially while we are suffering from any kind of illness, because it helps the immune system to fight the infection. Few days ago I caught cold, and had a severe sour throat, I even went to the doctor, and took medicines, but nothing was for working for it. Next day, I decided to prepare chicken soup, because in winters it is used to be the best cure for the cold.

Ingredients

Chicken

Water

Black seed powder

Ginger

Salt

I look for the chicken in my fridge, but it there was nothing inside, so I asked my brother to bring it from the market. He was well aware about my condition, so immediately he brought 1kg chicken for me. After washing it with warm water, I added 3 cup water in pot, and put it on the low heat.

After five minutes I added half chopped chicken in the warm water and let it boil for two minutes. Later I added 1tsp ginger paste, 1tsp salt and 1tsp black seeds powder in the chicken, and let it boil well for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, my soup was ready, and I enjoyed it as my dinner. I was not well, so I couldn't take pictures, if I knew about this question I had must have captured some photographs. We can also add onion and carrots, but I don't like onion, so I avoid adding it in my soup. Furthermore, carrots were not available at the moment, so it was only a simple chicken soup.

Next day, when I woke up, I was feeling much better, as it provided me soothing relief. There was no obstruction in my throat, and it was sound. Chicken noodles soup can also work for cold in winters because it helps us to feel satisfied, and give us nasal clearance.

So this is the food which make me feel better when I am feeling sick.
