Black Crowned Night Heron
The black-crowned night heron, or black-capped night heron, commonly shortened to just night heron in Eurasia, is a medium-sized heron found throughout a large part of the world, including parts of Europe, Asia, and North and South America.
This pic however was taken at St Lucia Estuary, Isimangaliso Wetland Park South Africa.
Not common to see them during the day time and even at night very difficult to spot. Mainly active at night only and well hidden during daylight hours..
