Security Concern
We had an individual with mental health problems enter the building this morning. He left without incident.
There is concern because of a similar incident in which the troubled individual shot and killed a police officer the day after entering our building. Ultimately that individual was also killed by police.
This is not to say that this morning's individual is a danger. However, the memory of that previous incident is still fresh. It is unsettling to the staff because they do not know how to manage the situation.
I'll have to consult with our local police department to find out what they suggest.
