As a Christmas gift, our company sent each employee a coupon or voucher for 3,000 pesos yesterday. I was overjoyed to find that it is quite practical—you can use it to pay for groceries, retail purchases, and even dining out as long as the establishment is a partner merchant. I chose to use a portion of my voucher certificate to treat my friends as a way of saying thank you for always being there for me and taking care of me when I was in the hospital. Yes, you read that correctly; I was hospitalized last week due to bleeding, and it was not fun at all; I was in excruciating pain.

Anyway, I'll tell you about the things that happened when I was taken to the hospital in my next blog, but for now, I'm pleased to enjoy a special day with them. So, the original plan was to just hang out in my apartment and order some food outside, but since we received the email about the coupon, we decided to simply go out and chill out for a little instead, as I had been staying inside for the past few days. We decided to dine at Landers and possibly grab some groceries because Yor has a membership card there. Both of them are still at work, and it happened to be my day off, so I prepared early and got ready because I didn't want them to wait. We decided to meet in Ayala because I wanted to stop by and eat some fruits because my doctor told me I needed to eat more fruits and veggies. While waiting for them, I went to Watson's and got a few things I needed for our company's year-end party. I also grab some pain relievers in case the discomfort returns, as well as paracetamol because Kaye mentioned she had a headache while traveling on the bus.

Kaye was running late and Yor had already arrived, so instead of taking a cab to Landers, we decided to walk so I could get some exercise. We spoke a lot, as if we didn't often communicate on messenger. lol
When we arrived to Landers, Kaye informed us that she was still very far away, so we thought about buying some groceries. I was able to get some of the sweets I adore and usually get whenever I go to Landers, as well as some tea. We finished paying for the items that I purchased, but Kaye is still on its way, so we decided to sit and wait. I was relieved to find that there was no line inside the coffee shop, so I went on to purchase one coffee because the medications I'm taking are causing me to feel tired and sleepy.

When Kaye eventually came, we gave her some time to relax. Five minutes later, we went to pick up the coupon and ordered a whole Wall Street Pizza for about 725 pesos, or $13.09 USD, along with two bottles of water and soda and two order of French Fries. We paid the extra 30 pesos, which was fine. We did not regret buying this flavor because it was quite excellent and we all enjoyed it; we had some leftovers and asked them to wrap it for takeaway. I had a great time with them, and we all enjoyed the meal, so we went back to my apartment and concluded our conversation, and I asked them to bring some of my belongings because I'm going back home to our province and won't be returning until March of next year.
