OUR PALM SUNDAY: HOLY WEEK

How did you spend your Sunday with your Family? friends? Or loved ones? 😊
It was a holy week again.

Well, Yesterday March 24, 2024, for me and for us was a very nice Sunday to attend in a holy mass, in our religion which is Roman Catholic we have this kind of mass celebration that we called Palm Sunday, I see everyone was very blessed to attend mass not only here in the Philippines but also in other country. As I swipe Facebook, Instagram and TikTok I see everyone posted their picture as a showcase of celebration of this holy Sunday.

Palm Sunday is the catholic traditions that celebrate during the Sunday before the holy week. It was known for commemoration of Jesus Christ celebrating a great victory or success entry into Jerusalem. It was very important week for us to look back of how great our Jesus Christ and how he sacrifices for us. We visit in Quiapo Church in the early morning with my sister Maureen and cousin Reniel.

Quiapo Church is one of the famous churches and most visited church in the city of Manila, Philippines,And also because of the black Nazarene.It was also known as The Minor Basilica and National Shrine of Jesus Nazareno.

I’m so happy to see everyone was holding a palm or locally known as “Palaspas” with different style.

There are so many vendors selling, and I am so amazed how artistic they are for doing it. It was nice to see in the eyes such kind of art.

Palaspas (Palm) is made of coconut leaves and those are folded into different styles. This was blessed by a holy water of the priest during the mass.
