San Remo finals: Mahmood's second chance?

Arrivederci, San Remo! This Saturday the annual San Remo song contest -72th- came to an end after five long days and nights, five shows that revealed this year's winners.

Mahmood and Blanco, a male duet has won the ticket to this year's Eurovision, as it is accustomed. Their song Brividi ("Shivers") made it to the top, while the competition was very strong. There were many songs that were remarkable and many contestents that had represented Italy in previous Eurovision contests.

Mahmood (Alessandro Mahmoud as is his real name) is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest. He participated a few years ago, in 2019, with a song that made a big hit. His song "Soldi" had won second place in the contest and many believed that Mahmood was the real winner that year.

Maybe this time he will be lucky and Italy will make it two for two, after last year's tremendous success of Maneskin.

The Eurovision contest will be held in Turin, so Mahmood and Blanco will be playing at home.

Let's hope that the bad luck of 2019 will be corrected.
