Newbies Initiative Task 8 BUILDING HIVE CONNECTION

I consider the Hive newbies initiative program to be an incredible help. I am always happy anytime we are having our weekly meeting because I know I must learn one thing or the other, this initiative has helped me a lot on Hive and I have connected to many people through this initiative.

I have been able to improve on all aspects that I am lagging, and I have been able to write more than I had been doing before the initiative, I have a lot of testimony through this initiative and I am glad that I am part of it and also to my mentor that introduced me to this initiative, I say thank you, I would not tag you but I know you will see this.

The meeting started at exactly 8 pm on Sunday and the meeting was hosted by @starstrings01 and @depressedfuckup @vickoly @nkemakonam89 was our tutor for the day, I should give kudos to everyone who has impacted knowledge us since the beginning of this initiative, I say a big thank you because it is not easy to leave your business and be attending to us every Sunday, I never take you for granted.

Here is the task for this week

Discuss some ways you can build strong connections on Hive, giving practical examples from your experience accompanied with screenshots.

There are many ways in which we can make connections on Hive, but the best way is through engagement, there is no how that someone will engage on my post two times and I will not recognize the person, good engagement on people's posts brings better connection, I have so many connection through engagement on the hive, I remember the time that I was confused about the zing token and I couldn't find myself around it, I read a post published by this user and he promised to put me through since then we have been engaging on each other's posts.

Another way that we can make connections on Hive is through the discord channel, I have met a lot of people through the community discord channel, and also through this initiative, I know a lot of people who can always put me through when all roads are blocked on the hive, I have so many connections on the discord channel and I am glad that they are like a family to me.

Another way that I make connections on Hive is through the Zealy campaign, I met different Hive users on Twitter and we connected, this also helped in connect with great people of Hive and learn more about Hive.

Make at least 4 meaningful and detailed comments on people’s posts, and create a conversation out of the post.

I always love to make good comments on people's posts, comments that always flow with the user's write-up, not just a comment of sympathy, I love to engage with meaningful comments.

What is the difference between this type of detailed engagement and short comments like “nice post”?

I called a short comment a sympathy comment, it is just that you are forced to say something about people's posts, I think it is better to leave the post without any comment than to leave that sort of comment on another user's post, this will always limit you on hive.

Detailed engagement will always attract other users to your blog, you will always attract good and lovely comment on your post because you are the type that take your time to read through people's post and leave meaningful comment unlike the other way around will just nice post, keep it up.

What is something new that you’ll start doing now to connect with people and make friends on Hive?

I will improve more on engaging on people's posts and always attend community hangouts, by doing this I am connecting to more people, not only from my country but other countries, always supporting people with the little vote I have and always making myself available for any discord meeting
