A study in boundaries.
Momo would like the boundary between her and any drones to be much further away. She was always nervous around drones but will sit near me. I'd just walked out of shot so she's a bit uncertain.
The purpose of this shoot was to explore boundaries between contrasting textures. That's abstract, but I would like to improve my photographer "eye" so setting tasks like this is useful. While I learn the capabilities of my gear from a technical sense, I also need to explore it aesthetically. As an artist, I believe my use is in revealing the new - including new ways to understand the familiar. I'm not going to do that by taking holiday snaps.
These are my two favourite shots from flight. I took some from across the river, but couldn't get pleasing angles because of the range. While this drone should be able to fly much further, the reality is that there seems to be a lot of radio interference around here and so range is much reduced.
