Exposed

There I stood before her

So lost in her wild eyes

I see desire, yet I denied her.

Or is it she who denies me?

So confused by her words, her actions

She is dumbfounded by my self satisfaction

both of us waiting for a reaction

is that part of our attraction?

Why is this the way it happens?

We draw together, we fall apart.

We are worse for each other now

even worse than from the start.

Once we were two, never to be one.

No longer trying to comphrehend

no longer caring in the end.

So now to start over, where do I begin?
