Seeking In (An Original Poem)
Recalibrated sense of limitation,
in tune with the seed of the soul,
No longer floating along in this current
or able to disappear into the fold,
Lit from within, patience is threadbare
while our world is burning with poise,
Scuffed shoes, seeking visceral clues
bubbling up from this babel of noise,
Such easy, trusting, fools we are
always baited, hating, distracted,
But it’s not hard to feel deceit well up
when so much of our truth is redacted,
When will common sense prevail
and begin to fill in those empty spaces?
When we learn to read serendipity
which points us to miraculous places,
It’s important to remember
there’s a yang for every yin,
Everyone is busy seeking outward
when we should be seeking in.
