Lean All In
Never give up. Never surrender.
While that may be a well known line from the movie Galaxy Quest, it does ring true particularly for entrepreneurs. So many times we give up on our mission and message before we've allowed the seed we planted to bear fruit.
What do I mean by that?
In September 2005 I launched my first podcast after hearing about podcasting for the first time in July 2005. There was no podcast industry. It wasn't well-known. It was a bunch of early adopter geeks recording whatever we wanted to and posting it on the web. Groundbreaking at the time. Commonplace now.
That seed I planted in 2005 is bearing the sweetest and most abundant fruit in 2025. 20 years later I am working on projects that are mentally stimulated and financially rewarding.
BUT...
There were so many times in the years between the first podcast where I stumbled along figure out as I went where I was pressured to quit. Even though there was no business or career in podcasting, I knew that podcasting was not only going to be a thing, but that more importantly it was going to be MY thing. During the darkest moments when the pressure was high to stop podcasting and "go get a real job" or that " podcasting is a waste of time", I knew that podcasting was somehow someway important.
Today I am fully invested and rewarded because of those early days and not giving up or surrendering. Again, I knew podcasting was going to be something big for me. And it has been.
So, are you walking through the dark days of your mission and message? Are you questioning whether you should give up and do something practical?
Even if no one around you believes in you, believe in yourself. Think about the Creator who put you on this earth with a calling which is why this idea, vision, goal will not leave you alone. Instead of second-guessing yourself, lean into it and watch what happens when you do.
