Why Have I Not Earned Any Hive Tokens?

Last night I was claiming my rewards on my Hive-Blog channel. I was going to power up on my Hive tokens. However, what I noticed immediately after I claimed my rewards was that I didn't have any Hive tokens to power up on. I don't get it. I have been a Hivian since last summer, and I have posted numerous articles since then. It would seem that I would have earned at least some Hive tokens since then.

When I was a Steemian and I claimed my rewards from the Steem blockchain, I was able to power up on my Steem tokens inasmuch as I actually did have Steem tokens to do so. Of course, I waited up to two and a half years before I did so. However, it appears that no Hive tokens ever accumulate on my Hive account. I had thought that the Hive platform used much of the same technical methodology that the Steem platform did.

Could somebody please tell me what is going on with the Hive tokens here on the Hive platform? Is this problem only happening with my Hive-Blog channel or is this happening systemwide? Any information from my fellow Hivians would be appreciated.
