Senior Cloud Engineer Recruitment

• EOSNodeOne is a fast growing Korean startup company incubated at D.CAMP in Gangnam and has proven itself as a top elected block producer on the EOS block chain mainnet.

• We operate the EOS mainnet in conjunction with the other worldwide elected block producers and enable dApps to run flawlessly on the EOS blockchain

• We are currently in need of a senior cloud engineer to help us manage our cloud and bare metal infrastructure. Your work will impact the next generation of blockchain dApps being written for the EOS governed blockchain.

Responsibilities

• Automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration, continuous monitoring, audit logging etc. to ensure the EOS Mainnet is operating at peak capacity
• Build new and migrate existing architecture, software, and services on to new bare metal and cloud hardware as required to maintain EOS Mainnet throughput
• Upgrade the EOS Mainnet software as new versions are released by Block.one and/or the EOS community and ensure minimal downtime of the network
• Ensure security of the EOSNodeOne infrastructure from unauthorized access
• Research new technologies, and prototype new ideas to simplify operations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience deploying complex mission critical applications on cloud and baremetal machines.
• Strong knowledge of virtual private networks, internet gateways, NATs, iptables, etc.
• Ability to create a load balanced scalable infrastructure
• Demonstrable experience with securing infrastructure from unauthorized access
• Excellent knowledge of Linux system administration
• Knowledge of Linux container tools like Docker, LXC, etc.
• Knowledge of Ethereum, Bitcoin, or EOS infrastructure needs would be a strong plus

Checklist

• Experience with git or other version control systems
• Self-starter that enjoys diving into unexplored territory
• Worked in an agile environment
• Familiar with peer-to-peer networking
• Familiar with bash shell scripting
• Familiar with iptables, wireguard, nginx, etc.
• Good overview and understanding of blockchain logic
• Familiarity with basic encryption techniques
• Ability to communicate in English and Korean
• Experience with DDoS protection service like AWS Advanced Shield or CloudFlare
