the mists of dawn often create a muted serene setting, especially near water. also at dawn the wind is often still on the water- ponds, lakes and rivers or even pools and puddles, sometimes even the sea. i took this pair of photos from a bridge over the river that marks the bounadry between the northern most part of Goa and southern Maharashtra. the Gaons call it Tiracol River and the Maharashtrians call it Terekhol. but rather than dwell on the name it's better to appreciate the tropical beauty of the moment with the landscape featuring coconut palms reflecting in the river. the foreground is the Goan side with Maharashtra in the background
