entry reflections 227: a tricky reflection

at first sight it may appear that the orange-red rock in the upper half of the image is being reflected in a pool of still water. this is not the case though. the rock continues under the surface of the water and is visible through the clear still water. some small stones and mud on the bottom of the pool are also visible, proving that the water is clear and what we see is not a reflection. if the red rock was reflected we would see sky at the bottom of the photo, not small stones and mud at the bottom of the pool.

however, curiously the gray limestone on top of the red rock is indeed being reflected in the pool, making this my contest entry
