Thriving In A Strange Land
I have been in such situations many times, and trust me, it is not something to talk about; nevertheless, these things happen for a reason, and in the end, the reason always comes to light.
One beautiful thing about humans is our ability to restart. People call it different names; personally, I love to describe it as “the comeback ability.” The unique ability to come back from any kind of situation that is within human control.
This is why you see people fall from great positions in life, and you wonder if they can be able to survive it, but surprisingly, they will not only survive but bounce back to greatness again.
Each of us is built with this ability, but not everyone maximizes that potential. Some people think that because they are down they can never rise again, but life is not so; anything is possible to those who are ready to believe, work, and patiently wait for things to come to reality.
Starting life from zero if life drops is in a strange land without anything to start with, is something that is not going to be easy for anyone.
Building takes time and process, even in a land where we have support from our loved ones. Things aren't easy. How much more will it be difficult in a strange place with no one to turn to?
But does that mean that rising in that kind of environment is not possible? Certainly not. People can rise from anything and anywhere, depending on their mindset and willingness to grow.
If I find myself in such a condition, I won't lie, things would be hard for me at first because I don't have any physical skills to set up something.
Nevertheless, thank God I know how to teach; I can use that skill for a start.
Unless there are no schools there or the government doesn't take in foreigners to teach in their schools, I would apply for teaching and use the income to sustain myself for a while.
While I am teaching, when I am able to accumulate enough money to get a phone and a personal computer, I wouldn't hesitate to do so.
As soon as those tools are ready, I will go back to blogging and cryptocurrency. At this point, if God helps me, I am sure I will begin to cope. Life would be stable for me to some extent.
I won't see a sudden change in environment as a disadvantage, unless there is no opportunity for me to use my skills. We can't even tell where we would be elevated, sometimes it might be in an environment we never expected, a strange land, somewhere we never imagined to be.
The hardship and the difficulty that ideally are supposed to weigh us down might be the fuel to keep us going, and before one realizes it, they have started something that may completely change their lives.
