Actively working against self
Actions betray words with every step
Knowing what's right but doing wrong
Like someone under a curse
How much of self do I control?
Battling with self till I implode?
I force myself but don't move an inch
Perhaps another asserts her will
To conquer self is no mean feat
Wished by all but done by a few
Some of us learn to avoid the worst
Doing the vital but only just
Looking back with regrets is one thing
Knowing you could've corrected another
Why the battle with self is continual
A fight is needed to be winner
