I reached out

Monomad-1-7.jpg

I walked through the grasslands, brushed my fingertips with feather seeds
I wandered the heathlands, sweat dripped brow but smiling

I swam the ocean and rivers, sun glazed skin glistening
I closed my eyes to listen to the breeze blistering

I watched the clouds dance in skies of blue and grey
I witnessed the moles dig dig dig all day

I waited, breath bated all entranced at the marvel before me
I breathed again the life that came from the pulsing vibration of the earth’s magnitude

I touched the ground with course, callused hands as I dug the dirt to reap the harvest
and I gingerly stroked the corn growing strong swaying before me

I anticipated the ripening of red, juicy apples and tasted the sweetness of the first strawberries
I lay my head down satisfied at the toil and the plans that gave me exuberance for the future

The ever growing demand never sated, but I delivered
I felt my pulse rate quicken and jump as if a prancing child
My fluttering lashes straining to see you through the blinding light
But you were there
Steadfast, holding on through all time

I reached out and waited
And everything seemed to slow and fade around me

It was a moment, just a moment
But it was all encompassing

The earth still moved below my feet
But I now moved graciously through the days, lighter

For you pulled me out of the mire and into the fresh air, that I may once again breathe...live...love

All images were taken by me and belong to me.
All the poetic wordy stuff is also by me
