Sometimes our life becomes confusing, we think about what we have done and all that we have yet to do and, in the midst of these thoughts, some people feel the need to transcend, that is, to become immortal with facts and things that are relevant and that give them a place in the collective memory and in the history not only of their life but of the whole world. However, this is not so easy, nor is it impossible when you really understand what transcendence is all about.

En ocasiones nuestra vida se torna confusa, pensamos en eso que hemos hecho y todo lo que nos falta por hacer y, en medio de esos pensamientos algunos sienten la necesidad de trascender, es decir, de hacerse inmortales con hechos y cosas que sean relevantes que les otorguen un lugar en la memoria del colectivo y en la historia no solo de su vida sino de todo el mundo. Sin embargo, esto no es tan fácil, tampoco es imposible cuando se comprende realmente de que se trata el trascender.

As human beings, thinking about transcendence seems to us a fact that is related to the mystical, the magical, to that which is for us unattainable because it is part of a spiritual event in which our immortal being manages to travel through the years and centuries, that when we focus our gaze on the spiritual essence of each one of us. But, transcending is also a fact of the temporality of our human existence, it is an event or a series of them that have been significant and that have left a mark in the life of other people. We transcend in the good things we do for others, we transcend in the existence of our children when we have taught them the right path. We transcend when every aspect of my life has been based on doing things out of love.

Como seres humanos pensar en la trascendencia nos parece un hecho que se relaciona con lo místico, lo mágico, con eso que es para nosotros inalcanzable porque forma parte de un acontecimiento espiritual en el que nuestro ser inmortal logra viajar a través de los años y siglos, eso cuando centramos nuestra mirada en la esencia espiritual de cada uno de nosotros. Pero, trascender es también un hecho de la temporalidad de nuestra existencia humana, es un acontecimiento o una serie de ellos que han sido significativos y que han marcado huella en la vida de otras personas. Trascendemos en las cosas buenas que hacemos por los demás, trascendemos en la existencia de nuestros hijos cuando les hemos enseñado el buen camino. Trascendemos cuando cada aspecto de mi vida se ha basado en hacer las cosas por amor.

Most people fail to understand that transcendence encompasses the acts of love, kindness and mercy that we have in life and that are destined for the good of others. We transcend when we are able to offer a word of encouragement, help others to improve their existence, save a brother in danger, collaborate with making this world a better place. To transcend does not require an act of supernatural or too extraordinary just an act of selfless love where the existence of one or more people find in each of us the light they are missing in their lives.

La mayoría de las personas no llegamos a entender que el trascender encierra en sí mismo los actos de amor, bondad y misericordia que tengamos en la vida y que sean destinados al bien de otras personas. Trascendemos cuando somos capaces de brindar una palabra de aliento, ayudar a otros a mejorar su existencia, salvar a un hermano en peligro, colaborar con hacer de este mundo un lugar mejor. Para trascender no requieres de un acto de sobrenatural o demasiado extraordinario solo se necesita de un acto de amor desinteresado donde la existencia de una o más personas encuentren en cada uno de nosotros la luz que les falta en sus vidas.
