There it was, stretched from one end of the horizon to the next. A spaceship so huge nobody could possibly overlook it. And it wasn't alone. All over the world people stopped what they were doing and stared at the sky with mouths gaping open, unsure of what would come next.
Except for Marcy. She had lived through quite enough of these ‘once in a lifetime’ events, thank you very much. Apparently you could go through several of them back to back without breaking any rules as long as each type of event happened just once to you.
So she stayed in bed, under the covers with her good headphones on and decided to binge watch ‘Adventure Time’ again. She left a sign on the door for her roommates that simply read, “KNOCK WHEN IT'S OVER.”
