Elmira Bumblefoot or Ellie the Finder fixes stuff. Not big stuff, just little things. A broken and wobbly birdhouse, a ripped leaf, a snagged badger, whatever. She notices things that need fixing. She walks around the woods, sees something, she fixes it. That's pretty much it. She also hears things. So, yeah, she knows what's going on. She's observant and practical, always noticing the little things that need attention and keeps things in order. The gossip? Well, that just happens along the way. You notice things when you're fixing things.
