Modesty
Please stop evaluating me based on my clothing
Don’t assume you know me by how I dress
I didn’t select what to wear for your approval
I’m too young to understand your sexualized judgements
Simply a child wearing something cute
Trying to stay comfortable in the tempest of weather
If there are predators about
Keep them away from me
Don’t police my body
Your vain attempts at control
Will cause me lifelong trauma
Won’t do a thing to stop someone bent on harm
