Laundry
It’s gap-toothed smile
Stares me down
A yawning hole
Filled with reek
Sweat and unwashed bodies
Claws hook into my throat
Crushing down on my esophagus
I pry open its jaws
Reach into its maw
Dislodge the white sacks
Teeming with dirty linen
I slip away
Bearing my filthy burden
