Spring Mountain Foot Walk
It's getting colder and colder here in Southeastern Pennsylvania. I'm probably going to need to buy more heated clothes in order to be able to continue taking photos outside. I work late most nights in a restaurant, and there are already long shadows at 12:00 PM, which is about when I usually wake up this time of year.
I went for a walk this cold afternoon in my neighborhood. I pretty much live on the foot of Spring Mountain Adventures in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The photos below are near the expert slope. Spring Mountain is the closest ski area to Philadelphia. It's tiny compared to ski resorts up in the mountains. The weather forecast makes me think that they will be open for skiing very soon. The Perkiomen Trail runs beside, and then up and over the mountain.
In one of my recent posts, I said I'm going to attempt to start posting on Hive every day in the near future. Since I said that, I was given the opportunity to go to work as early as I want every day and get mass overtime; and since it's way too cold for me in the morning to be outside at all, I probably won't be able to take enough photos for that. I will still go out whenever I can, and hopefully I'll post photos at least every few days.
When I first joined Steem several years ago, long before Hive existed, a Steemian from New Jersey whom I followed, posted photos from this exact same location. I don't remember who that was, or if that person is active on Hive now. Maybe someone in the community might remember that.
