Good people deserve a cookie.
It's always at the back of my mind. Whenever I find myself in that situation we all know so well: where we are having an argument about what typically happens in the world— civil rights, politics and sports, if only there were a sign that one person was right then everyone would just accept it. Maybe not though, but at least they'll just stop arguing.
It would go like this: a cookie for Christians even though they can be so judgemental at times, a cookie for Democrats even though I hate Politicians and they are all snakes to me, a cookie for Chelsea football club even now that I hardly watch any matches, a cookie for Nigeria cause she's my country and the only place where people love corruption more than normal living, a cookie for me, a cookie for Hive, a cookie for those on my side… a cookie for my family.
But everyone has an opinion and that's what is beautiful about life I guess. The dark and the light shades. So so beautiful and if it were just light shades then life would lack colour and a general form.
So me and a couple of my friends I made on Hive @lucylin and
@valued-customer discussed for over a day about the Aunt Jemima cover [And if you do not know about Aunt Jemima, I suggest you read about it. I'd like to know what you think]. I found out people have firm reasons for not supporting the change of the cover that is not based on hate for skin colour. Although I feel being pro-black and taking stand helps a lot but I don't know them enough to say they are not pro-black who knows all the good they do for their community. But that's the thing If they had a cookie maybe I wouldn't be so confused.
I'm still about the black lives matter movement, but it is important to know what everyone is saying without taking sides per se. Many black people say white people look at them differently. I'm here to also say many white people are saying black people look at them differently. It's like looking into a mirror.
I hope I get a big fat cooky for this but, I know I might not get it cause that's real life. Nobody is going to give you a cooky for saying what is right. But how can I know if what I'm saying is right?
Have a nice day everyone!!
