Pollution: Effect, Cause, and Solution

Pollution is any act that makes the environment or surrounding places unsafe for living or breathing. The major types of pollution are three; Air, Water, and Land. Other categories of pollution fall within the mentioned three, examples are the Noise and industrial pollution- which has an impact on the air. Sewage which affects the water and dump with impact on land. Large cities with industries often suffer from noise and industrial pollution, this impacts the people living in that vicinity negativity health wise.

Effect of Pollution
Pollution generally affects our health and comfort. That's because it makes the air we breathe, water we drink, or land we walk on unsafe by polluting them. When the water we drink is contaminated, drinking it may result in cholera and other water borne diseases. Sometimes it may result in other complications in the body if drank for a long time.

Bad air not only pollutes the air, it also causes diseases that are airborne and may result in other diseases that affect the respiratory system. Generally, pollution puts people at risk of contracting disease.

Causes
So many factors cause pollution, and this includes our day to day activities. The dump we throw away, the waters people add chemicals to catch fishes, our faeces, the gas we expel from industries, loud music, etc. are the causes of pollution.

Among them being the air pollution which seems to be the most dangerous type of pollution, and this is because it reaches a wider range compared to other types of pollution. If there's poisonous gas expelled into the air, it'll reach a large number of people within a few minutes. Another reason why it's more dangerous is that bad air affects our body easily through the respiratory system.

Solution
There are few solutions to tackle pollution, depending on the kind of pollution in question. For air pollution, industries are advised to locate their industries far from settlement, for water pollution, water can be treated every week to avoid fungi growing in them. For refuse dump, environmentals can work in discharging heaped dumps monthly.
