Agony

He watched the alabaster box
It held thousand memories of her
Oh, the sweet fragrance of it's perfume
It was one thing left to remember of her

In all her toiling, it was her only reward
In pain she labored
digging for a treasure she never found
In her quest to make him happy she was swallowed up

Cruelly she lost it to life
It hurts, his skin torn in grieve
He was never satisfied, he had pushed her this far
He never saw her effort, until she was taken
The thought of it hurts.

Looking at the alabaster box only cause him pain
It leaves a scar that haunt him at dawn
And a wound that may not heal
If only he knew, he would have been content
Just maybe, he wouldn't have suffered this agony.
