Greed
Hello everyone, I trust you all are doing good.
Today, I’ll be talking about “Greed”
Greed is a very bad thing that doesn’t come out with good results.
People say greed is a desire to want more, it could be material things, status, or even power.
It is funny how some people do not see greed as a problem, but, I do. Also, for some greed is a form of survival.
Greed is one of the biggest problems we are facing in the human race. As humans and as a society at large, greed can affect us.
I read it somewhere where it was said that greed is like having an endless hunger that can never be satisfied.
The funny thing is that greedy people usually prioritize their interests 95 percent of the time over other people's, and this usually causes nothing but harm.
For example, there has been a lot going on in Nigeria lately and it is how people were introduced to a Ponzi scheme which they where told me if you give that particular scheme a particular amount of money, you are going to get it back doubled. The funniest part is that a lot of Nigerians fell for this and the reason is nothing but greed. Some of the people who did this even borrowed money from people so they could get it doubled in their mind to thinking they will get to collect a lot of money. Now, the Ponzi scheme company is packed off and all of them are crying.
When I saw it on the news, it was unbelievable because this is 2025 I don’t think people should still be that greedy to the extent of falling into this scam out of greed.
People want to gain a lot of profit at all costs without even doing anything. I understand that everybody is greedy, but there are levels to things. Another angle where greed has become worse is with the politicians.
Politicians sometimes put their own needs and the needs of the people who give them money above the needs of the people they are supposed to help. This can lead to bad things like corruption, favoritism, and a lack of responsibility. Politicians can also use their power of greed to divide people and create conflict. We can see how greed is destroying Nigeria. It’s the main reason why our people are suffering just because our leaders choose to be greedy and think about their pockets alone.
Greed is very bad. People are so focused on making money, even if it means using up all their resources and polluting the environment. And this is destroying our world and will cause a big problem for future generations. Most greedy people don’t always think about tomorrow. Their mind is always focused on what they could gain now and how everything can be theirs.
In conclusion, it is very important to remember that greed can be very destructive, even though it can also lead to good things. We need to be balanced and think about what is best for everyone, not just ourselves. We need to be kind and work together to make the world a better place. Stay away from greediness.
Thanks for your time.
