Thoughts and clouds

Surprise, I have woken up and when I have looked outside and I have seen that it was cloudy. Even for about five minutes it has rained, in the silence of a Sunday morning only a few large drops could be heard tapping on the roofs and the window panes. It doesn't seem like anything strange, but it has surprised me.

I did not expect it after weeks of intense sun and heat, normally in summer we all want clear and bright days, but perhaps a little gray break is also needed to recharge energy, to rest and to refresh the environment. It is also necessary.

Continuity and monotony produce fatigue and in some cases everything is normalized too much, nothing attracts attention, nothing surprises, we take everything for granted. Everything will be like this, always the same. Perhaps some unexpected change can be good, even if it is fleeting and slight. That's it, it's over... the clouds are moving now, saying goodbye until next time, they have given us a few minutes of peace and quiet on an early Sunday morning, when nothing moved and nothing was heard. It seems that they have sneaked by almost without wanting to bother or without us noticing, they leave us the last day of the month a little cooler, although too little. In a few hours nobody will remember those clouds and those drops, the heat will be the same again, the sun is the king of this month and surely, of the next, we will see it tomorrow, August will start...

Such is life, days of routine and monotony that are suddenly interrupted by any small unexpected situation, sometimes, it surprises us and makes us happy, it makes us feel better like this light breeze when opening the window. But others can bring us some problem, as sometimes happens, in a summer storm, a flood... it's not the same anymore. Intensity changes everything.

There is no choice but to adapt, to always be watching, not to take anything for granted, even though weeks in a row go by with exactly the same heat and the same sky, because one day we may wake up and find something different and new. A bit of relaxed darkness between so much intense light does not hurt from time to time. Everything can be good at a given moment, it is knowing how to see it, enjoy it and be grateful for it, however small the moment may be.

Some people will be sleeping, I am here and I keep this moment of total tranquility, of that sky today finally of a faint color, I rest my eyes, I relax in a more subdued environment. Time seems to have stopped in this calm, this is the moment and we must take advantage of it, because in fact time is running out, it goes fast, as fast as those clouds. We must not miss the opportunity to feel and experience everything that is around us, at any time and at any moment, even those strange minutes that seem out of place and out of season, why not?

It has helped me to think, inspire and write these improvised words, it has helped me to breathe and not hear anything, just a few drops and my thoughts while looking at the clouds in the sky on a strange early morning of a summer Sunday.
