Not just a walk but a serious climb, Malo brdo, Petrovac
But it's clear as day, once you conquer the climb, the view can often be fantastic.
That's how I was this morning, I woke up a little earlier, before the sun rose on the horizon, and started along the path to Luštica beach, which I had already walked several times during the day, when I was just looking at the stairs that lead to the hill.
I started alone, because I had no idea how many stairs there were, so as not to screw someone else up, it's better to be my own fault 😀
The path I walked on was fantastically groomed, the steps clean and with lamps that went out as the sun intensified the day. Great stairs, but too much of the same🤣
After a few minutes of overcoming them, it was clear to me why benches were placed at each step, probably so that the one who goes up these stairs would have a place to take a break.
I took breaks without getting off the track, because if I sat on one of these benches, I would risk falling asleep on it 🙂
When I climbed to the small plateau at the top of the hill (they call it a small hill, so I wonder, where is the big hill and what does it look like 🙂 ), all the tiredness in my legs that I had while climbing the stairs went away instantly.
The view towards the open sea is fantastic. On the left side of the hill is the cove of Luštica beach, on the right side is the view of Petrovac.
And straight ahead, the open sea.
When I got to the small stone lookout, I saw a well-trodden path between the bushes, which was what the lifeguard on the beach in Petrovac was referring to when he told me not to follow that path, because if I do, I go at my own risk.
I certainly had no intention of climbing the unsafe stairs and the terrain infested with poisonous snakes, but this path up the stairs to the plateau on the hill is completely safe and I can recommend it to anyone who is fit for stairs.
Even those who are not in good shape can go on the climb, because there are many benches where they can take a break. If any of you go to this lookout, just don't do it in the hottest part of the day.
The recommendation is either early morning or late afternoon, when everything can be seen beautifully, and when it's not too hot.
So, here I am, back down the hill was easy, reached the hotel and while I'm taking a midday break, I'm posting pictures in the #wednesdaywalk from this walk above Petrovac.
