The Coves of Sardinia -- Actifit Report Card: July 2, 2025

Wednesday was our biggest adventure day, an excursion down to Orosei to tour all the magical coves and beautiful remote beaches of Sardinia. It was an amazing experience on a small boat with one other couple and a young, experienced skipper leading the tour.

We got to swim inside of caves and spend a few hours on two of the most beautiful beaches in all of Italy, not just Sardinia. It's just a shame that I still could not wear my FitBit in the water because I did a ton of swimming. In fact, there were some long swims I wasn't even sure I was going to make it. Luckily, after the first one when I came back panting, the skipper helped me out with a kickboard. Phew... I was so tired.

We were out on the water for 9 hours! It was a long day. But so well worth it, filled with memories I will take with me for the rest of my life.

Once we got home, we showered and covered ourselves in aloe lotion. No matter how much sun protection I put on, it was not enough to keep me from looking like a lobster. I guess I'll be wearing a Tshirt at the beach tomorrow. Ciao! Until next time...
