Grand Canyon, USA

Usually I find myself taking photos underwater, or perhaps on the water searching for whales. But the Grand Canyon is a photo destination that everyone must visit at least once in their life. The views are beyond majestic and the sky can seem to go on forever.

I did make the mistake, well, maybe a mistake, of carrying my huge camera bag all the way down the canyon to the river and back in one day. There are a bunch of signs that say don't do it. I understood why when it was snowing up on the rim but 95 degrees and no drinkable water down at the bottom. But the photos and memories were totally worth it. I would do it all over again. In fact, I just might.

Enjoy some of the views as best as I could capture them.

This shot was from the rim trail, hugging the edge of the massive Grand Canyon.

I had to brake for some wildlife photography. The elk here are massive. I thought it was a moose at first.

I made it to the Colorado river at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Time for a dip and rest before the long hike back up.

I hope you enjoyed this visual trip to one of the USA's most incredible national parks.
