Picking Flowers

Picking Flowers, Acrylic on Paper, 2015

The face has always bugged me on this one. The subject is great, the composition not bad, but that face. And perhaps the arch of her back. It isn’t an ugly painting, but it’s not my favorite.

Again, style is important to see here. I do not hate this painting, I just feel like I could have done better if I really tried. I always like to finish a painting in one sitting, even to this day. Perhaps that should change and I should start thinking about the long term and not just trying to crank out a lot of production.

I’m posting every painting I have ever done from 2014 to the present, the good, the bad, and the ugly. With an occasional photograph or sketch thrown in just to mix things up. Check back daily to see my progression as an “artist”!
