Into the Portal, Oil on Canvas, 2020
"Into the portal she climbs,
Unaware of where she is going.
Blissfully taking her time
She steps unhindered,
free of the cares that killed her unknowing."
In March, I decided to paint in oils again. And I wish the scan quality was better on this but at least the colors are showing. I don’t know how I feel about the style here. I suppose it’s original? Hmmm. Or just bad?
The subject is my wife, heading into a disaster. She was unaware of her destination, though I knew it right when she left. It's not over yet, and I pray that it works out. We'll see.
I’m posting every painting I have ever done from 2014 to the present, the good, the bad, and the ugly. With an occasional photograph or sketch thrown in just to mix things up. Check back daily to see my progression as an “artist”!
