Fixing It
Fixing It, Acrylic on Paper, 2015
This is a bit painful to look at. I would say there are little redeeming qualities. Would. But there aren’t. It’s all pretty bad.
Maybe I take back my assessment of my figure work that I made yesterday. Or not. I know I can and have done wayyyy better than this. Sometimes when you do artistic work you have the occasional fluke.
I know artists who have burned the stuff they hate. I know other ones who simply keep them hidden away in the attic. Others still keep them around to look at later, just to see how far they have come. I tend to be in that last group. It is good to know that for every bad one, I have managed to make many good ones.
I’m posting every painting I have ever done from 2014 to the present, the good, the bad, and the ugly. With an occasional photograph or sketch thrown in just to mix things up. Check back daily to see my progression as an “artist”!
