Dailyish Thoughts #105

Has it really been over two years since my last "Dailyish Thoughts" post? Maybe I should rename it to "Yearlyish Thoughts".

I still have many thoughts. Perhaps I even have an interesting life to someone out there. I started these posts as kind of a journal but life got wayyyy too private to share. No one wants to read miserable scribble anyway. People prefer hopeful, inspiring messages. Why indulge in social media or blogs if they don't point out how awesome everyone else's life is and how miserable yours is? You'd have nothing to aspire to!

I'd rather show you my true life, good, bad, and ugly. I'm just not sure how to do so without scandalizing certain family and associates. Suffice it to say there are some shitty people in my circle. Every day I'm reminded of the fallen nature of man and how no one is good when we really dig into them. We are all selfish and at our core we will save ourselves first. Some of us will save others quickly thereafter, but many of us would watch the world burn, content that we are safe.

Honestly, I would like to think I'm the former, saving myself in order to be able to save others. But who really knows themselves well enough to know for sure how evil they really are?

These are the type of clouds that float around my head. If you can handle them, stick around and I'll post more. If not, go find an "inspirational" influencer....
