Encountering the Essence

I've been called many things, really. By many people and many cultures, throughout time.

We call each other "the essence", but Talia calls us her "fireflies". We don't mind. Names don't really matter to us so much. Shakespeare was right about the rose, you know?

We do what is necessary to maintain the balance, and we never work on our own volition. We are a sort of "worker bee", and our role is to minister to the world on our queen's behalf.

Sometimes, we are instrumental in sad things happening; this is true. Sometimes peaceful, sometimes joyful, sometimes catastrophic. But we are not defined by such expressions of our power.

Humans often look very closely at one particular instance - one tiny blip on the radar screen of their lives, and misunderstand that we must be good, if a good thing happens. Bad - if a bad thing happens.

If you could see all that what we see, you would see a much bigger picture, and I assure you - it's radiant!

As balance is needed everywhere - we are everywhere. In the sky, in the sea, in the atoms and in the space between. We hold things together, and we pull things apart. We fuel, we deplete, we ignite, we extinguish - we are the "spark" here and the "snuff" there.

The sensory perceptions of our "being" is completely beyond what a human can detect. Your minds were not made to take in the fullness of our purpose, as your senses were not made to take in the fullness of our appearance. But there are parts that we transmit to your level, in order to give you a small peek into our realm.

Have you ever seen the sky, lit with power?
We are in that glow.
Felt the heaviest night, like a suffocating blanket?
We are in that cloak.
Scent triggered a memory or warned of approaching danger?
We are in that aroma.
Felt a baby's caress or the quake of the earth?
We are in that vibration.
Heard a kitten purr or a volcano erupt?
We are in that energy.
Touched the lips of a love for the first time?
We are in that connection.

In those experiences and many more, you have
seen and heard and inhaled and tasted and felt.... us.

We are always here,
and always will be.
The invitation to experience more is open.
