My dream car

This is a Datsun 280zx. I don't know the year, and it doesn't look like a 2+2. The 2+2's came with a back seat. Yet it's one of my dream cars. They came with a straight six engine, and the hood opens towards the front. As you can tell I'm definitely not a car guy, but I owned one of these when I was younger.

Years ago I had a little extra money and I decided to treat myself by buying a blue Datsun. It was parked on the grass in one of the neighborhoods I delivered in. I was young and inexperienced. The fact that it had been parked in the grass for so long should've been the first red flag.

It was a fun car, but it never got to experience driving it in peak condition. The car had a rusty frame, and needed a lot of work. Though I still used it for delivering. Idealistically i dreamed of fixing it up, but the cost of fixing it was more then triple the purchase price. I did get compliments on the car everywhere I went, because in the outside the car looked well kept. So I kept my hopes up. Eventually I was rear ended on a delivery, and my dreams and burdens were taken off my shoulders.

I was paid handsomely from the insurance for the accident. Yet I was never able to experience driving this car fully tuned and road worthy. As the years go by the chances diminish as there are fewer of them available. Yet who knows one day. A man can dream.
