Where does love come from?

   Many writers, poets and thinkers tried along history to define what is love, but nobody achieved the success. Of course, each of these philosophers made their own definition, but unfortunately, each person has its own feelings which cannot be defined by others. So, at least all people said that love is when your heart beats faster and faster when you see something you like and this great feeling resides in it.

Actually, from the medical point of view, it is not correct. The heart is just a striated muscle which pumps blood through blood vessels as a result of self-excitation and action of the sympathetic nervous system. It is influenced by the presence of adrenaline and norepinephrine in the bloodstream which are positive modulators( determine bradycardia) and influence of vagus which is a negative modulator ( determine tachycardia).

The essence of ''love'' we feel resides in our brain. The engine which generates this ''condition'' is called Limbic System. 

The limbic system is a set of brain structures located on both sides of the thalamus, immediately beneath the cerebrum. It includes the olfactory bulbs, hippocampus, hypothalamus, amygdala, anterior thalamic nuclei, fornix, columns of the fornix, mammillary body, septum pellucidum, habenular commissure, cingulate gyrus, parahippocampal gyrus, entorhinal cortex, and limbic midbrain areas. So, these structures are responsible for all kind of emotions, inclusive "love". At least this kind of feeling is just a result of multiple chemical reactions which take place in our brain. Brilliant!!!! Such a great ''Love'' is just a chemical process the same as all chemical processes we saw at chemical class at school. Sounds great!!! :) :) :) But for sure it always will be the most preferable chemical reaction for everyone and nobody would forget it.
