Brand #1: DoRK
DoRK
When you google the word dork you get this definition;
silly, out-of-touch
noun. Slang. a silly, out-of-touch person who tends to look odd or behave ridiculously around others; a social misfit: If you make me wear that, I'll look like a total dork!
So I would like to talk about this word that I use for my own brand.
I feel like there's too much negativity associated with that term and that's exactly why I wanted that to represent my brand. To me it means to be yourself no matter what. You have to be proud of who you are and it truly shouldn't matter if people see you as "silly or out of touch"
It should be important that you like who you are. With my brand I'm going to work towards self acceptance.
I have been dealing with those same exact issues and just now I'm starting to change the way I think and not worry about what others think about the stuff I create, the way I dress, the way I talk or walk. What people think of me is not who I am. I am who I say I am.
So it shouldn't matter if someone calls me a dork, because my definition would be "someone who accepts who he/she is no matter what"
So go out there and be a dork.
