Icy Frost on a New England shore : Making Plans when others change
ON an icy day, not too long past, I was contemplative. Well, to be fair, I am that most days, but I had recently had a bit of trouble with my new vlog camera and somehow managed to erase a lot of footage for a project I was going to do. It doesn't help to be too angry, tho I did give my fair share of mumbling under my breath, I did what I often do when I need to clear the old headspace and think: I walked out the door and down to our shore.
Tho we've had some warm weather of late, today however it is 20 F well below freezing, this day was one of those icy mornings where the sky is of two minds, One clear and blue sky, the other fogbound and grey. In an attempt to forget my troubles, Nature soon had the answer in the delicate simplicity and intricate complexity of things found on the beach on a frosty morning.
The days here never bore me, as each day and often each moment is so vastly different and I'm always such a crow, looking for shiny bits to collect up here and there, that I'm usually finding something to amuse myself. In fact, since the world has changed, I think I'm all the more at home than even before, and I've always been an introvert and a bit of a hermit. Even when I travlled (I know what is TRAVEL) it was to ONE spot somewhere in a little house so I could find my patterns and locals and just be alone even more.
I hope you enjoy this small moment on an icy New England shore and can take a breath and listen to the loon call out, it can do no end of good, I can tell you.
