Lockdown2021 Day 1

Good morning everyone!

Once more we went to bed in one world and woke up in a new one this morning.

Exactly 10 days to the 1 year anniversary of our 2020 lockdown nightmare we're once again in the same situation.

A national lockdown for Mauritius was announced last night after reassurances this weekend that it wouldn't come to that. A 15 day lockdown has come into immediate effect since midnight last night until the 25th of March. This weekend saw inbound flights canceled and last night we were informed outbound flights are also halted for the foreseeable future. 🤐 This news doesn't sit well but what can one do. 😔

I've been very quiet this past week as we've got a lot of very interesting changes on the horizon and we've been dealing with the logistics and details. I'll share this exciting news in another post.

Today we are just trying to absorb the fact that we are once more locked in, housebound, only allowed out twice a week for food shopping when it's your turn according to the alphabetical order. I dread this but what can we do. Hubby is fortunately with us so the 4 of us are marooned together in our little bubble. Now we just need to get through this!
