Urban Portraits Session
(Sesión de Retratos Urbanos)
As everyone who has seen my work knows, urban photography is one of my favorites. Some time ago I have been including portrait photography and for this occasion I combine both styles or types. Considering it as an urban portrait session.
Sofia Metlige was the model with whom I worked in this opportunity, creating a very comfortable and fun environment in the neighborhood of Puerto Madero.
Siendo de conocimiento de todos los que han visto mis trabajos, la fotografía urbana es una de mis favoritas. Hace un tiempo he estado incluyendo fotografías de retrato y para esta ocasión combino ambos estilos o tipos. Considerándolo como una sesión de retratos urbanos.
Sofia Metlige fué la modelo con quién trabajé en ésta oportunidad, creando un ambiente muy cómodo y divertido en el barrio de Puerto Madero.
We had been coordinating a photo session for a couple of months and at first we had talked about another type of portraits in a studio with a different theme, but due to our daily obligations and lack of studio space we decided to do urban portraits and later we could do the ones we had agreed on.
Ya hace un par de meses que veníamos coordinando una sesión de fotos y en un principio habíamos hablado sobre otro tipo de retratos en algún estudio con otra temática pero debido a nuestras obligaciones diarias y falta de salas de estudio decidimos hacer retratos urbanos y más adelante poder hacer las que habíamos acordado.
We chose the neighborhood of Puerto Madero for its aesthetics and modernism, this way we could capture this urban area and include the lights and attractions of the place.
Elegimos el barrio de Puerto Madero por su estética y modernismo, de esta forma se podía captar ésta zona urbana e incluir las luces y atractivos del lugar.
The time of the session was at sunset, so the light would be a little warmer and less aggressive, we would also take advantage of the sunset and thus be able to capture better scenes, a nice bokeh, the characteristic violet lights of Puerto Madero, among other details.
On the other hand, we also wanted to take advantage of some of the vegetation that was in the place and be able to take other shots there, looking for another type of composition.
La hora de la sesión fué al atardecer, así la luz sería un poco más cálida y menos agresiva, también aprovecharíamos la puesta del sol y así poder captar mejores escenas, un lindo bokeh, las luces violetas características de Puerto Madero, entre otros detalles.
Por otra parte también quisimos aprovechar un poco de la vegetación que había en el lugar y poder hacer otras tomas allí, buscando otro tipo de composición.
This series that I am sharing with you today were some of the first shots we took... We already knew what we were going to do and we wanted to highlight the buildings in the background and their lights.
Ésta serie que hoy les comparto fueron unas de las primeras tomas que hicimos... Ya sabíamos lo que íbamos a hacer y queríamos destacar los edificios de fondo y sus luces.
Personally I consider it a perfect combination of urbanism and portraits, at least for me and my tastes. So I could say that it was one of the sessions I enjoyed the most for being a fan of urban photography and being able to mix it with portraits.
Personalmente considero que es una combinación perfecta urbanismo y retratos, al menos para mí y mis gustos. Así que podría decir que fué una de las sesiones que más disfruté hacer por ser aficionado a la fotografía urbana y poder mezclar ésta con los retratos.

Hacemos hincapié en no solo compartir nuestros mejores trabajos fotográficos, sino de aprender entre todos de esa data informativa sobre la fotografía, como su historia y evolución, reseñas y técnicas de reconocidos fotógrafos, aspectos técnicos en el lenguaje de la composición fotográfica y entre otros ítems.
