A recitation of poem ‘অভিমানের খেয়া’ by Rudra Mohammad Shahidullah

Exploring the meaning of any poem is a difficult task. Because the poet writes a poem by mixing all the emotions of his mind. So, as a reader it is something tough task to uncover those underlying passions. Even after that, readers are often quite enthusiastic to analyze the poems of their favourite poets. Likewise, today I am going to analyze a poem of my favorite poet Rudra Mohammad Shahidullah. The name of the poem is ‘অভিমানের খেয়া’ (Abhimaner Kheya). Hearing the name of the poem, it is understood that the poet expressed a lot of distress in this poem. It could be about love, affection, hate or loosing the belief to someone. Sometimes when I read the poem it seems that the poet had a deep sadness in his mind. Even then, in the midst of so much contempt, he had given a comprehensive idea about the significance of life in this poem. He tried to explain in his poem that existence is wonderful no matter how much arrogance or defeat in life and it will move forward at its own pace. This is one of my favorite poems out of many popular ones written by Rudra Mohammad Shahidullah and I tried to recite it for you. I hope you like it.
